Emma Wiles

(née van Inwegen)

I am a fifth year PhD Candidate at MIT's Sloan School of Management. Starting in 2024 I will be an Assistant Professor at Boston University's Questrom School of Business in the Information Systems group. I am also a member of the research team at the MIT Initiative on the Digital Economy. My research is primarily focused on artificial intelligence in labor markets and the design of online platforms.

I received my Masters of Science in Management Research from MIT in 2021. Previously I was a researcher at the University of Washington Evans School of Public Policy & Governance studying the effects of the Seattle minimum wage. I graduated with my undergraduate degree in mathematics and economics in 2015.

When I'm not thinking about labor market experiments you can find me playing soccer or board games, or ranting about the US healthcare system.
